Built and programmed a replica lightsaber with an LED-pixel blade. Created custom blade effects and sourced 6 unique smooth-swing sound fonts, using Arduino software and a Proffieboard v2 microcontroller.
Developed a twin-stick shooter with a top-down perspective in the roguelike genre with eight unique characters, using the Godot game engine.
Designed game prototypes in 48 hours, managed a team of five members using Kanban-style workflow, used in-engine physics to manipulate the game world, applied problem-solving skills to debug and optimize.
Directed and produced a 9-minute short film, Starring Katie Kane, that was nominated for best director and won best actress at the 2017 Canadian Youth in Film Awards, and a 3-minute short film called Actually.
• Implemented BACnet functionality for broadcasting and responding to device
queries, leveraging Wireshark to trace packets on specific UDP ports to test
• Improved module maintainability by refactoring frontend storage of OpenSSL
certificate details to handle JavaScript asynchronous promises
• Increased performance of low-level systems by optimizing existing C++ code
resulting in a smoother user experience
• Expanded automated test coverage though dependency injection and shared
pointers in class interfaces using gtest
